Tapio Wirkkala came to know plastic products while head of A-studio, the design section of the A. Ahlström corporation in Finland. He designed a variety of products and packaging including the recent re-issue of the TW001 table lamp designed in the 1960's. It features a birch base painted in your choice of white or black with a HD-polyethylene plastic shade and includes a 57.6" white cord.
