Introducing the 2007 limited edition color range of the classic Panton chair. This year Vitra is producing two limited quantity colors - pink and light blue - available exclusively through hivemodern.com.
Ever since 1967, Vitra has been manufacturing the plastic cantilever-based Panton Chair, the designer's most famous product which has been recognized as a classic for many years. For some time now, special limited editions have been brought out in a new color every year. After lime green, turquoise, purple and orange, in 2007 Vitra has opted for two colors - pink and light blue.
The Panton Chair has won various design awards world-wide and graces the collections of numerous renowned museums. Its expressive shape makes it a true 20th-century design icon. The chair offers great seating comfort thanks to the cantilever base, together with its shape and flexible materials. It can be used on its own or in groups and even outdoors.
Construction notes: Solid plastic chair made in a single mould. Material: fibreglass reinforced polypropylene dyed through. Produced using injection moulding. Also suitable for outdoor use. The shell is UV and weather-proof and contains additional additives to prevent early fading.
The Panton pink & light blue are available now, and may be ordered immediately. These chairs are a limited edition and supplies are limited.
