Borge Mogensen Model 2194 Sofa
High back leather sofa designed in 1971. Borge Mogensen wanted to draw a bed for the quiet moments in front of the fire in the fireplace. He took inspiration for the distinctive shape of the British "hall porter’s chair" - a classic oreklapstolstype, who had just created to take the heat from the open fires in the past winter cold homes. In Danish, the popular name for the model "compartment couch" because it surrounds the seated in the same way as the comfortable seats made of a first-class compartment. The sofa is available in a two-and a three-seater version and a double two-seater with room for four.
